We have reserved a Fort Wilderness Cabin for our family of 4.

Now we are considering having my mother-in-law join us. Fine, but she snores and I am a light sleeper. If she comes, we thought to have her sleep in the full bed with the kids in the bunk beds, and my husband and I in the living area.

My questions:

Is there a solid door between the two rooms, enough to block sound?

Is the murphy bed in the living area comfortable?

If grandma comes with us, we'll definitely need to rent a golf cart - can it seat 5? (Maybe 4 w/ our preschooler lap-sitting?)

I stayed in them last year. There were 6 of us (my folks, my wife and myself, and our two kids). Wife and I and the kids slept in the room, my folks slept on the murphy bed.

1. Yes there is a solid door between the two rooms. Though I would probably put the snorer out on the murphy bed so your kids don't have to be subjected to the snoring either :p My folks said the murphy bed was just fine.

2. Don't know if we were breaking the rules or not, but we regularily put all 6 of us on the cart (with my then 4 year old and 18 month old sitting on laps). Depending on the time of year you are going, though, you'll want to call ahead and reserve one. They go fast.

Hope that helps!
