WE have 5 day hopper passes. We were leaving early on Saturday, but are now leaving around 4:30 - can we add a day to our pass, and how much, and when can we add it?

We were leaving early on Saturday, but are now leaving around 4:30 - can we add a day to our pass, and how much, and when can we add it? njtravelerof6 11-03-2008, 09:06 AM Is it really worth adding an extra day to your passes or would you consider just doing non-park activities on your last day (and not feel rushed to leave and not miss your flight, etc.)? You can save souvenir shopping or going to DTD or the premium outlets for the last day? Or, have a meal at one of the resorts and then go to DTD? Just an idea to consider . . . Personally, I couldn't relax and enjoy at a park on our departure day - I'd be so worried and checking the time constantly, but that's just me :) Drince88 11-03-2008, 09:25 AM You should be able to upgrade from a 5 to a 6 day hopper BEFORE it's all used up, at any ticket window (i.e., don't go on day 6 and try to add it). The cost should just be the difference between the 5 day and 6 day tickets. I wouldn't do it with a flight much earlier than the 4:00 ish time - just because DME picks you up 3 hours before your flight (1:00) and you should plan an hour to get from the park to your resort (if using bus or monorail) (Noon) plus a little time to get your bag back from bell services (if needed). But for 4+hours in the park, it's worth it. tdelaney_98 11-03-2008, 07:40 PM I agree. At day 5 and 6, there's not much difference in the price. I'd go for it! This is not correct. Any MYW ticket may be modified and/or upgraded within 14 days of first use, even if all entitlements have been used. It is not unusual for people to do this. Often it happens due to airline reasons. And the cost beyond the 4th day on any ticket, adult or child, is $3.00 (plus tax) per additional day. A ticket cannot have more than ten days of total used and unused days on it. My normal job at WDW has me in Ticket Sales and Guest Services over half the time I work. Drince88 11-04-2008, 05:21 AM Thanks for the correction. Reading a lot of the DL posts, where a lot of people upgrade to annual passes, and that has to be done before the last day is used, I get details mixed up some times. njtravelerof6 11-04-2008, 06:18 AM Wow - it would only cost $3 per day per ticket for that additional 6th day? If that's the case, I change my note to paying for an additional day! Ripley68 11-04-2008, 02:21 PM Thanks. We're getting in pretty early on Sunday, so was thinking of hitting DTD that day (or mini-golf), and probably wouldnt' go to a park on Saturday, I just wanted to check out my options. In WDW the 14day issue also applies to the APs. The first day I was at the parks I had first bought a 1 day MYW pass because I didn't bring enough money with me to buy anything else. When I got back the next day I had told the guest services cast member that I had to buy a 1 day pass the day before because I didn't have enough money to buy the AP that day. He asked me for it and gave me credit towards the AP. I had asked him about it and he said as long as i bring it back within 14 days it can be used as credit for a AP. |
