I just wanted to give our opinion of Advantage Vacation Homes. This was our first time staying in a home in the Orlando area. We turned to them, since they were a sponsor of Mouseplanet. Our stay was Sept. 28 through Oct. 4. We had MANY problems with our home. When we arrived, the temperature was 79 degrees inside, and we couldn't get it any cooler for DAYS. The master bathroom toilet wouldn't flush, and another toilet wouldn't stop running. We paid in advance for pool heat, and it wasn't heated (We called about the pool and plumbing and they responded on Monday- this was Saturday). My husband put up a fuss to get our money back from the days the pool was not heated, and they finally agreed, but we haven't seen a refund (along w/ the security deposit). Our home also had a hot tub, which according to the book left by the owners, was disabled. The house was advertised as having one, but it never worked more than once. Now, the agent we delt with was nice. However, do you really want to spend your vacation dealing with all of these sort of problems? Due to all of the problems with this home, I am hard pressed to recommend them to anyone in the future.

Oh that's too bad. I'm really sorry!! Hope your time in the parks was great.

We were able to enjoy our trip, the house issues were just a bit time consuming. Luckily, we had cell phones, and didn't have to wait around the house for calls. Our house was also about 20-25 minutes away from the parks, which was a bit farther out than expected. Other than those issues, we had a great time at the parks. It was our twin boys first trip to see Mickey, and they loved him! That made it worth it.

I have been researching the numerous lodging options in the area and I have to say as tempting as it sounds to be able to rent a large home vs a hotel room for the same or less money, it is stories like yours that have me leaning toward a hotel room. Thank you for your honestly! We are planning our first trip to WDW and don't want to be disappointed with our lodging choice. This helps! :)

Wow, what a pain... has the company done anything to compensate you for their problems? Have they made any attempts to resolve the issues? I would be pretty mad... sometimes it's the little things that just put a damper on a vacation.
