I just saw a post on another board with pics at CR.A lady had a 4 foot black snake with nest and eggs on top of the curtain panel..whoa! How he got up to the 4th floor is crazy..Anyone else see any while visiting?
We saw one at BC swimming in lake near bus stop.He was far enough-he knew to stay away lol;)

I can happily report in our 8 trips we have never seen a snake, inside  or out :)

I've been there numerous times since 1999. I don't think I've ever seen a snake.

I suppose I shouldn't pass on the tidbits that gators have been fished out of the Rivers of America, and the water parks occasionally find snakies in the lazy rivers....

(Of course, I'm probably the only left here who remembers the "great white amoeba gator thingies in Bay Lake" thread. ;) :) :D)

I have seen snakes and lizards both around POR and around the parks. If you see little boys bent over looking at something it is usually one of these types of animals:p. I have also seen lots of other wildlife such as bunnies, ducks, geese (in the quiet pool once), etc. I have never had any of them in a room though.

That would scare the living daylights out of me.

We've gotten slightly used to all the critters that live outside here in FL (gators, giant frogs, wierd bugs, etc) but I do not want to see any of them on the inside.

41000 acres of swamp land in Florida. I'd be surprise if people didn't see snakes once in awhile. :|

And just as a side note, you'd be surprised just where snakes can get into. A number of years ago, I had a friend and her daugther (7) staying with me. The daugther woke up one morning and began screaming.  There was a Boa Constrictor curled up right next to her. I didn't own a snake, and lived on the second floor, but it got in anyway. Never did figure how it got in.

Oh no...first the bed bug thread and now this!;)

I am terrified of snakes...let's hope they stay away from the Wilderness Lodge in 2 1/2 weeks!

We have never seen a snake, but this last trip (Sept/08) we had a big green frog jump in our room the first night we came back to the room. We were in the very back of Bldg #5 at ASMu 1st floor. I had just made the comment to my husband at how remote I felt our room was when he opened the door and the frog jumped in ahead of all of us. It took us a couple of minutes to finally catch him and put him outside. So far that is all the "wildlife" we have seen while on vacation at WDW.:)

No snakes at ASMu last month, but saw lizards (geckos we think) and a bunny... A bunny!?!!! That was strange, but cute!

Oh dear heavens! Holy cow! I would SO freak out!! Mouse, I could handle. Geckos, ok, no problem. Frogs, cool. SNAKES? I would scream bloody murder. They'd have to pack up my stuff and move me. I don't think I could go back in there.

Great. Now something else I have to think about as I'm going to sleep at night......

YUK!!!!

When I saw this thread, I had to laugh! We had an experience with a snake in our room at the Polynesian just this past August. Of course, I didn't laugh at the time it happened. We wrote about it in our trip report (McCarty & Thalwitzer Families-Polynesian Resort Aug 14-19, 2008). It was definitely a memorable experience!

AHHHH! I would have freaked! Was the Boa startled when she began to scream? I really can't believe it!!

I saw a few garden snakes outside of AK.
Another time a long time ago we were staying at Vistana and we opened the door to get back into the room and one of the little lizards ran in before we even stepped foot in. That one took awhile for my dad to catch because they run fast.

When I get to French Quarter next week I am going to have to check for snakes!

These snakes are only doing their job. Disney has a number of Black Snakes under contract as Entertainers. I see them on occasion at the parks and the Guests are fascinated by them as they are crossing a road or path.

Over Mickey's and Minnie's objections no doubt.

a couplr of years ago, one of the bus drivers pointed out the alligator living in one of the canals next to the road to one of the parks. it was a good 6-7 feet long.
