I just found out about Ice! at the Gaylord Palms Resort, and it sounds like an excellent holiday event.

It opens on November 17 and goes through January 4, so the dates will work out for our upcoming trip. From the promotional description and video on the Gaylord Palms website, it looks terrific.

I'm wondering if anyone here has been there in previous years and if so, what did you think?

I haven't been, but I've seen pics of it and know a few people who have been and they absolutely LOVED it!!

We love special holiday treats like this--we're really eager to see the Osborne Family Lights, the shimmery castle lights, and the decorations at the parks--so Ice! seemed like a great add-on for us.

I think if we have time, this looks like it would be a nice excursion. I think we would wait and decide when we are there rather than buying tickets ahead of time.

How would we get there if we are staying at Port Orleans and don't have a car?

My suggestion would be to call the Gaylord Palms and inquire about taking their shuttle from Walt Disney World to see Ice! My guess would be that idea would work.

Another option would be to use a taxi to get there and back.
