Hi gang !
I just joined you're great community ! Wow ! I'm glad to see I'm not the only one addict to Disney World !
In 3 weeks, I'm going to be there for the 8th time. And this time, I'm going solo !! While I'll be staying on the resort (Port Orleans Riverside), I plan to spend a day or tow at Universal (shame on me, I know :)).
What is the best way to go from Port Orleans to Universal (without a car) ?
Thanks !

I would think that the best way is also the most expensive way: A taxi. But that is my opinion.
If you are able to rent a car for a day from one of the on-site places, that may actually be cheaper in the long run.

I think there's a way to do it on the public buses, too (via the TTC), which is obviously going to be cheaper but more time consuming. I'd check out the website for Lynx and see if that's viable with the schedules. (www.golynx.com)

When we stayed at Port Orleans and wanted to go to Islands of Adventure at Universal, we made arrangements through the Guest Services desk at our hotel. They made reservations and the bus showed up at a specific time at the main lobby. I believe the bus was run by "Mears" but not positive. We had a return time too. It wasn't very expensive, something like $12.95 a person, round trip. This was a few years ago, so not sure if they still do it. You could arrange bus transportation to Sea World, Universal, Kennedy Space Center, and other Orlando attractions. But it isn't a regular bus stop. You had to make reservations in advance.

Mears does shuttle service for $16 per person, round trip. You can contact them at 407-422-2222 and ask for the shuttle to Universal. They will connect you to that department. Just a note though. Try to plan ahead what time you want to leave. They say to give at least 2 hours notice, but the earlier you call and tell them, the better the chances are of getting back at your desired time. We used that when we went to Sea World. :)
