I'm staying at the Poly. I have dinner reservations at Boma at 7:00pm. What is the best way to get there? I will be using Disney transportation. How much time should I allow? Thanks!

I would take the mono to the MK and then get a bus to AKL. I would allow at least an hour, if not a little longer to get there. Its at least 45 mins of travel time doing that route, not including wait times.

In a case like this, a taxi might be a good option to get there and then take your time getting back, using Disney Transportation, if desired.

I love Boma, and can't wait to go there in December!!! It was one of our favorite places last trip (2003), on a four day trip we ate there twice!

I agree about the taxi maybe being a good option. You can also walk over to the TTC from the Poly and take a bus from there. It may eliminate a little of the waiting around.

If you are planning to stay at any park, till 6 or so, just take the Animal Kingdom Lodge bus from the park. After dinner, from the AKL, you could grab any bus, to a park or Downtown Disney, and transfer to a bus from your hotel, if you are not planning more park time. After a good dinner, and a couple of drinks, a taxi is not a bad idea if you just want to return to your hotel. There's a valet desk at the front of the hotel, and they'll call a cab for you. Sometimes, at the end of a long day, it's worth $15-$20 in taxi fare, not to have to transfer on Disney transportation.

That's what I usually end up doing. It works great. And there's often a taxi or two waiting at the Deluxe resorts, so they usually don't even have to call to get one for you!

We have used taxis for dinner reservations and have always found them to be so well worth it! No stress, no waiting! Enjoy your dinner!
