My 180 days is fast approaching, so soon I can have the fun of calling at 7am hoping to get a table for 3 in April. I have a couple questions for you helpful Disney fans :-)
1. Is it easier to get a breakfast or lunch reservation, or are they both equally difficult?

2. I am thinking that if I get a lunch reservation, I should do that during morning EMH hours so we can take advantage of the that, eat lunch then go back to Pop and rest. But if it's breakfast, I should do that during a non-morning EMH day since during EMH hours we will be at the castle anyway. Does that make sense?

3. I think I read that I can make the reservations for any of the days on my trip if I call 180 days from the first day of my stay. In other words, we will be staying at Pop from April 12-18. That means I can call 180 days from April 12 and make reservations any day during that time. Is that right?

Thanks for all your help :-)
Cheryl

I don't think one is easier or harder than the other. Personally, I like the lunch a little better. Your idea about EMH is not bad-in fact, if your breakfast is early enough, you can get into the park before it is open, which could give you a head start on the day. I think it's a better plan, however, to eat a small breakfast, in your room, or on the run (the bakery at the MK is pretty good), get some rides in, then use the lunch as the last event of that part of the day.

I'm not sure whether they are still doing the 180 day reservation window, though. Has it changed to 90 days yet? I'm not sure.

Thanks for your help :-) It's my understanding that CRT is still 180 days. Is it 90 days for a Fantasmic dinner reservation?

There's some confusion while Disney changes to a new reservation system. Your best bet is to call them directly and get the specs. And yes, if you call 180 days in advance of the FIRST day of your visit, you can book up to 10 days right then.

Thanks Dan, did you fix my countdown clock? It wasn't working before :)

Nope - I'm just a user here, with no authority to fix your clock. Glad it's working, though!

I thought you were a moderator for some reason, Dan. :-)

Maybe it takes time to work for some reason.

It's a good thing it's working, since I thought 180 days was Tuesday, but it's really Monday.

Is the food that good? Does everyone get a good view? Is the room tight or roomy?

The food's OK, not great, but it's not about the food. Personally, I think the lunch food is better than the breakfast food. The dining area is roomy enough for the limited number of people who are seated there. It's not a huge restaurant. The princesses come to every table, and will pose for pictures. The kids get plenty of face time with the characters. That's why you go, for the characters. If you have a child who is a big princess fan, or if you are all about the princesses, it's worth it, to do it once. We've ended up doing it several times, a couple of times when we had family members along, so they could experience it.

My experience has been that the breakfast fills up first particularly the earlier seatings as people want to use it to get into the park before opening. Lunch fills up next and dinner is the last to fill up.

We are doing this because DD wants to meet the princesses and be in Cinderella's castle. I got our reservation earlier this morning :-) I got a lunch reservation for 11:45. I actually got an agent right away and didn't have to wait on hold at all. Either I'm lucky, or it's not as hard to get a reservation as was made out in the WDW Unofficial Guide. :)

I'm excited, but...I just checked on flights to Orlando from the NY area. The prices are out of control  If they don't go down, I don't know what we'll do :(

Oh, I don't know if this is news or not, but the agent said that they are trying to get the new reservation system back up by Nov. 21st. CRT, Victoria and Albert's and Chef Mickeys are the only places you can reserve 180 days out right now.
