We just got back from 10 days yesterday. I am amazed at the photos. I had 350 of our own, and 150 on photopass. Most of which were awesome, and keepers. I am thrilled to play with them. Use it if you can...;)

I've been 50/50 on my photopass experience, so I'm happy to hear you had good shots! ssmerdel 10-07-2008, 12:39 PM You can also crop and use borders. We turned 260 pictures into almost 700. Photopass is well worth it. DisneyDustin22 10-07-2008, 01:01 PM I agree, the 200+ taken by the photopass photographers on my trip doesn't make a dent in the 2,500+ I took on my own...but the benefit was we got to be in the photos and didn't have to worry about having a stranger hold the camera or stick my arm out and turn the camera around! I too was 50/50 on the quality and framing of the shots by some of the photographers, a few of them that we saw multiple times and they remembered us, and on those returns they were more open to creativity and some of the pics came out really cool! It's definately worth it if you plan on being in the park for at least 5 or more days and the more you take the less it works out to. When you figure one 5x7 print runs over $10, when you get up to a couple hundred pictures you're only paying a few cents a picture if you plan to make prints. (FYI for all those interested I will have pics from my WDW trip up very soon!) jessmitchell98 10-08-2008, 10:09 AM What was the cost to get the photopass CD? We're planning a trip for next year, and was curious. This might be a great way for us to get pics... Thanks Jessica mdrausch 10-08-2008, 11:53 AM If you pre-order the Photopass CD before your trip it is 99.95. Otherwise it is 119.95 I believe. Here is the link to pre-order: http://www.disneyphotopass.com/previsitcdplan.aspx?CMP=EMC-PASOUnkn mlcrdh 11-11-2008, 01:02 PM Is there a minimum amount of days before a scheduled trip required for pre-ordering the Photo Pass CD? I've had the pre-order page on my "favorites" list since we booked our reservations back in February! It would be a shame if I missed out on the savings! GusMan 11-11-2008, 03:40 PM If you forget to preorder before your trip, just do the preorder process when you return home. marisag 11-11-2008, 05:52 PM Like GusMan mentioned- you can always order it when you get home at the pre-order price. Have a great trip! mlcrdh 11-11-2008, 06:16 PM Wow, that's great to know. Not sure if I understand the whole "pre"order idea then, but I won't knock it! Thanks for the tips. coronado_g 11-21-2008, 12:32 AM Wish I had seen the info about pre-ordering the CD when I got home as I just paid full price for a 30-pic CD!! I wanted the pics and, since I went to WDW by myself, this was the only way to get pics of me. KJSJpipe 11-21-2008, 05:32 AM Think of it this way - if you had bought them in the park it would have been a lot more expensive to buy 30 prints at $10+/- (?) each... (it's all about the silver lining! ;)) tdelaney_98 11-21-2008, 06:04 AM (FYI for all those interested I will have pics from my WDW trip up very soon!) I'm interested! tdelaney_98 11-21-2008, 06:05 AM Wish I had seen the info about pre-ordering the CD when I got home as I just paid full price for a 30-pic CD!! I wanted the pics and, since I went to WDW by myself, this was the only way to get pics of me. Yeah, how did that solo trip go? Post a trip report!! D2000lands 12-21-2008, 07:22 AM Basically, for the PhotoPass preorder, you just have to order BEFORE you enter the code(s) on the back of your PhotoPass card(s). You can preorder at: http://www.disneyphotopass.com/previsitcdplan.aspx I didn't even know about the preorder until this last trip I had (thanks Tina :)) tdelaney_98 12-21-2008, 11:06 AM You're welcome! Glad it worked as it was explained to me! My pics from this last trip were FABULOUS. I was really happy. The CD will be ordered shortly after Christmas.... MrsGrumpy 12-26-2008, 07:43 AM I've never seen the "Photo Pass Operation" in action. Do you have to stand in long linesto have your picture taken? I guess I'm just trying to figure out how much of a time zapper it will be. oregontraveler 12-26-2008, 08:21 AM There are various Disney photographers stationed around the parks. As you enter, character meet-n-greets etc. They will give you a credit card sized photo pass when they take your picture. Its yours to keep and never expires. At the end of the day, your photos will be ready to view at a photo shop or online. There is a ID number on the back. Not much of a time zapper unless you might be in a long line to meet Mickey, Buzz et al. I would agree the $100 for a CD with all your trip photos is a steal. MrsGrumpy 12-26-2008, 08:37 AM Thanks, oregontraveler :) We won't be bringing a laptop. Will all of our pictures be saved on the card until we get home? (10 days or so worth?) oregontraveler 12-26-2008, 08:48 AM Yes, you have 30 days to place an order. Although I have received a final notice at 60 days after my trip. GusMan 12-26-2008, 08:58 AM Yes, you have 30 days to place an order. Although I have received a final notice at 60 days after my trip. To add to this... you have 30 days to "claim" your photos online. Meaning, you create a Photopass account and then add the card to the account. From that point you have an additional 30 days to view and/or edit your pictures and place any orders. fairestoneofall 12-29-2008, 06:05 AM I have a photopass question..... I've used photpass.com for my photos taken at Disneyland. In November I paid only $69 for the CD. Is the price different for a WDW CD? Also can I combine WDW and DL photos on 1 CD if taken withing the 30 day period? I ask because I plan on going to DL (we're AP holders) on New Year's Day, but we leave for our first family WDW vacation Jan 10th..... Just curious...any help is appreciated!!! 8ISENUF 12-29-2008, 07:44 AM Does anyone know if I can still get the preorder discount if I have not yet ordered the CD but I have used the # on the back of the photopass card to log in? Thanks in advance. Drince88 12-29-2008, 07:48 AM can I combine WDW and DL photos on 1 CD if taken withing the 30 day period? I ask because I plan on going to DL (we're AP holders) on New Year's Day, but we leave for our first family WDW vacation Jan 10th..... Just curious...any help is appreciated!!! I believe you can combine them, since it's all the same system. Does anyone know if I can still get the preorder discount if I have not yet ordered the CD but I have used the # on the back of the photopass card to log in? Thanks in advance. I am not positive, but I kind of doubt it. DoodleMushyBoo 12-29-2008, 08:15 AM my mum and i combind 3 photopasses we used on our trip onto one cd . . . we got back nov 1st. . sorry no report yet. . . the holidays took over as soon as we got home! :P the photopass CD worked out great! we had some picts we loved and some we didn't (but more b/c of our faces not because of the quality! :P) but its totally worth it. . .i would also suggest getting them taken AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE> . . . even on the same day in the same place (or day after day) . . . if you pre-order the cd or even if you order it afterward you can get like 500 photos on it (accordng to a photopass dude i spoke with) and why not actually do that? we had 2 photopasses for our fam and 1 for the halloween night and it worked out very well for us! |
