Does anyone know the hours for the food court? I am thinking about getting dinner there while we are waiting for our son to fly in (we are taking different flights). We will fly in about 9:45pm (which will be 6:45 pacific time, our time zone) and my son flies in at 10:20pm. I thought we would grab a bite and get him something, too while we were waiting, just to save time so that when he gets there we can just go to the hotel, relax and try and get to sleep (even though it will seem early to us). Do you know if the restaurants will be open that late?

Thanks :)

Ive taken some later flights lately and finding that even as early as 8 or 9 PM things start to shut down at some airports. This is mainly because after the last flights start to take off, there is no real demand for them. (Even O'Hare in Chicago becomes real quiet at 9PM.)

However, a Google search lead me to this site for MCO (http://www.orlandoairports.net/concessions/shops.htm#restaurants)that might be able to help. While it does not state a lot of info, it does give phone numbers that you might be able to call to get some idea of what time places specifically close at MCO.

Hope that helps some. Maybe someone else can chime in with direct experiences.

I've noticed the same sort of thing. I would try and call.

Isn't there a hotel connected to the airport? I'm sure there would be a restaurant or lounge open late there.

I called the general info number and finally got ahold of someone who thought they knew the hours (?). It sounds like most of the restaurants in the food court are open until 10pm, except some close early on Sundays. Since our plane doesn't arrive until 9:48pm, I think we will just grab a bite at the End Zone food court at AS Sports (where we are staying) since they don't close until midnight. We probably won't be ready for bed when we get to our hotel anyway, due to the time change. (from the Pacific NW).

When I still flew out of PDX, I wouldn't have too hard of a problem falling asleep that first night when I flew to the East coast, because the actual traveling would tire me out quite a bit. It was usually the second night that was a lot harder.

Even though the food court says that it is open until midnight don't expect the whole foodcourt to be open. You will be able to get your grab and go items and pizza, but the grill closes around 11. Are you driving to your hotel or taking ME? If you are driving then I would say stop at the McDonald's right by the All Stars.

Chik-fil-A is closed on Sundays...just FYI. (There's no CFA up here, so I ALWAYS get it at MCO)

We fly in on a Saturday night, and we will be taking ME to our hotel. Maybe just to be safe, I will pack as much 'picnic' food that hopefully will last us through the day of flying.
Thanks for your help!

Where/how long is your layover? Maybe you can grab something more substantial there to 'picnic' with?

We do have a fairly long layover in Seattle. Good idea. Just that airport food is often so expensive!!!

Oh, then that's not as good an option as would be if you were changing planes in Chicago, Atlanta, Minneapolis or even SLC. Just because then you have to 'see it' and not eat it for that whole super duper long flight!

We have a layover in New York... my friend and I might grab something from McDonald's when we land in Orlando... That is what we did the last time and we brought it to the hotel with us and ate out on our balcony. :)
