First I would check the prices at www.disneyland.com and make sure you do not pay more than face value. Other than that I cannot tell how to check.

Only buy from a reputable dealer. Any other source is subject to really ruining a trip, especially if you have to buy tickets because you were sold admission media that was expired or whatever.

Disney tickets are non-transferrable, Disney won't tell you over the phone if there are still days left, or when the days must be used by.

MUCH easier/safer to buy from licensed sources. There are some threads about the 'best places' to buy tickets - and if you read the Disneyland update on Mondays, I believe the various current promotions are listed there.

I would highly recommend NOT doing that, for the reasons that Drince88 stated. There are many reputable places online where you can buy tickets.

There's no way to know if a ticket is still valid until it's scanned at an entrance gate.

the guy here has 4 5 day park hoppers never used. He lost his job and had to cancel his trip. Of course Disney won't take the tickets back so he is kind of stuck. We are going for 6 days anyway and probably back in the spring so We are having a friend pick up an annual pass with the 50 dollar gift card at Costco

I could too make up a story about how my dog died and that it ruined any sort of chance to go to Disneyland and then on the way to the doggy funeral, I had gotten into a car accident and then the dog popped out of the casket and oh my god I'm traumatized for life.

Will you buy my potentially fraudulent Disneyland tickets then because you're trying to save a buck?

Oh yah, disneyland.com prices went up what it normally would have been. You could have gotten a pretty big discount up to last Thursday, but they changed them on Friday morning.

Unless you know the person personally, I wouldn't risk it. I work retail, and I have found when dealing with returns, the longer and sadder the story, the bigger the scam...

I don't know about having a friend by an AP for you from Costco even... is that allowed? I was under the impression that it wasn't.

Why not, The Costco member has to actually buy the "Gift Certificate", usually Cash, Check or American Express. But it is a Gift Certificate with no name on it, and can be handed and used by anyone.

Now, if you just want to happen to give the Costco Member $269 in cash or check in return for the "Gift Certificate" (aka the Disneyland Resort Deluxe AP voucher with $50 gift card), nothing in the rules about allowing or not allowing that.
