At Disneyland we would celebrate our birthdays with Pat E Cake, getting the presents for our kids, I was wondering does WDW have something like Disneyland where I can purchase tickets for a birthday celebration? Thanks

I don't believe they have anything like that at WDW - though you can get a birthday button. I haven't read the Monday update yet - there might be something added with the annual promotion for 2009, though. I believe you can order a cake at table service restaurants.

I'm pretty sure they don't have anything like that, but definitely get a birthday button. &, like most restaurants, if you make an ADR & tell them it's someone's birthday/tell them when you get there, they'll do a cake & singing thing. & if you're staying in a concierge room at a WDW resort, they can put together something in your room, too; I came back to the Poly on my 16th to find a cake, streamers, & party hats :) like magic!

We celebrated two birthdays at Walt Disney World: my dad's 80th and my daughter's 3rd.

We were staying at the Polynesian Resort, concierge level, and for my daughter's celebration, there was a 'surprise' cake in the room as well as a card signed by characters.

We arranged a fireworks cruise for my dad's celebration, and had his birthday cake onboard the boat. It was lovely.

We are celebrating our daughters 12th birthday when we go in December. She is the only one of us who has ever celebrated her birthday at WDW. We are getting her the "Hannah Montana" make over with photo shoot at Downtown Disney and for supper we will having the "Kitchen Sink" at the Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club.

In addition to the Birthday button (make sure she wears it everyday not just on her actual birthday) and a special dessert from most of the restaurants there are a few things you can add on your own.

The WDW Florist (www.disneyflorist.com) has now added birthday celebrations that you can have set up in your room. You can also order a birthday cake to have at one of your meals.

They haven't really gotten into birthday celebrations as much as they do at Disneyland.

I wonder if that will change with the announcement of the new celebration for next year? I do hope so!

I wear the birthday button for the whole month of December, since I like to celebrate all month. At table service restaurants, I have always gotten free cake and singing, and also usually get a free cake at counter service places. Also, last year, Santa yelled happy birthday to me when I was watching the Christmas parade!

Loves it! I've always done birthday week, but birthday MONTH sounds so much better... & I love the nightly cakes :D My senior spring break I was in Palm Desert with my two best friends & my birthday was the last day, but every day leading up to it, halfway through dinner I'd "go to the bathroom" while they'd tell the server to bring out a surprise later.
