I use Vista and am considering checking it out. Any down or up side?

Don't know. After Vista, I'm not sure I want to be on the "bleeding edge" when adopting shiny new things. I may wait for the Beta period to be over.

I like bright shiny objects. The only problem is you often get burnt by them.

I use Chrome on my Windows machines and like it. The main downside for me is the lack of support for ad-blocking plugins, but aside from that it's very slick.

Chrome supporst Firefox plugins, so I would check on that. It's ok. It's fairly compatable , but we are not happy about having to support another browser. We aren't giving it a whole lot of attention until it reaches a certain level of market saturation. It was built from a bunch of open source projects, and has a very good JavaScript VM.

Chrome doesn't support any extensions (http://www.google.com/support/chrome/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=95695), Firefox or otherwise. It does support common plugins (http://www.google.com/support/chrome/bin/answer.py?answer=95697&topic=14683), like Flash and Java.

It's built from the same base as Safari, so if your site renders in Safari it should be fine in Chrome.

I will have to double check that. I was told that the extensions plug-in feature pointed back to firefox.
