Hi folks,
I've noticed activities for the kiddies, ie; Pirate and Princess, Tea Party, Treasure Cruise, etc. are from 4 - 10.
Then, the other activities like Keys to the Kingdom and Segway lessons are for either for 16 and up.
What activities do they offer for 11 year olds?
How is the Disney's Family Magic Tour? Anyone experience this before? Is it worth it?

Here's one:
Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground now offers a new Archery Experience which includes a training session and target practice. The program is offered on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 2:45-4:15 p.m. The cost is $25 plus tax per person, for ages 6 and up. Reservations are required — call 407-WDW-PLAY.
And another one also at Fort Wilderness:
Guided horseback rides are offered 6 times daily (8:30, 10, 11:30 a.m., 1, 2:30 and 4 p.m.) at the Tri-Circle D Livery at Fort Wilderness. The rides, which cost $42 per person, last approximately 45 minutes. Riders must be at least 9 years old and 48 inches tall and can weigh no more than 250 pounds. The horses are tame and walk pretty much single file during the ride. If you're an experienced rider, this ride may be too dull for you. If you've not had an opportunity to ride a horse before or have done so rarely, this ride may be just what you're looking for. To make reservations, call (407) 824-2832 -- reservations can be made up to 30 days in advance. It is strongly suggested that you wear long pants and that you do not wear open-toed or heeled shoes.

The Behind the Seeds tour at Epcot is also open to kids younger than 16, and is age-appropriate for an 11 year old.

These are also good! I was starting to think "what's there to do with a child older than 10 and younger than 16?
I mean...there's tons to do in WDW...but we also like the tours and other things Disney has to offer.
Thanks!

If you haven't done mini-golf yet, that would be another thing perfect for that age, I'd think!

Also in the fall, they usually have the haunted hay rides at Fort Wilderness. It's a hay ride after dark where they tell the Legend of Sleepy Hollow.

"Regular" tea would be appropriate. I think she might be too old for the kids' tea. It's at the Gardenview Lounge in the GF. I THINK they start at 2:00, but not positive.
They also have a "first massage" for kids as well as mani/pedi packages at the spas. That might be nice for an mom/daughter moment.

There are 2 things which involve swimming in the tanks at The Seas at Epcot and, as I recall, one of them (only) is suitable for an 11 year old. Have lent planning books to a friend but I recall not ordering something along these lines because my 9 year old could do it but the 6 year old couldn't. Sorry to be less specific.

If your youngster loves trains, I highly recommend the "Magic Behind Our Steam Trains" tour at the Magic Kingdom. This tour is for ages 10 and up.
The tour lasts three hours, and begins early in the morning--at 7:15 am. You meet the opening crew, see the roundhouse, and learn not just about the trains at the Magic Kingdom but also about Walt Disney's passion for railroading.
Being able to have this experience, and a little backstage time, was a highlight of one of our trips to Walt Disney World.
