View Full Version : MouseFest 2008 - Who's going?
GusMan 08-25-2008, 05:49 PM Hey everyone...
With a little over 100 days away at this point, Mrs. GusMan and I are starting to talk more and more about our plans for MF08. So, that prompted the question of "I wonder who else from the MP community will be there as well??"
For those of you who may be new to MouseFest, click here (http://www.mousefest.org/default.asp) to see their web site.
The Mrs. and I are really looking forward to this trip as it will be our first without the kids. (Not to mention the fact that our trip got canceled last year due to problems outside of our control...) We are very excited. We hope to do several of the gatherings as well as meet many people from the boards.
So... Who all is going? :)
Laserman 08-26-2008, 04:09 AM I will be there:)
tdelaney_98 08-26-2008, 05:09 AM I'm going and will have the pleasure of dining with you at LeCellier! I'm so excited, G-man!!!
Drince88 08-26-2008, 08:04 AM I'm going to be there, too!
tdelaney_98 08-26-2008, 11:24 AM Do you guys (MP) sponsor a lot of meets? I'm getting pretty full on some other meets and want to make sure I get some of these in there too--MousseFest, I would think around here?????
Drince88 08-26-2008, 11:32 AM That's a Mark question.
A couple years back there was a Dole Whip meet (though I don't know if MP will still do that want, since Scopa has gone to other pastures), one or two for the Podcast, and then Mini-MouseAdventure. Also, obviously, with a presence at the Mega meet, too. Oh, and maybe a Hustle meet at Pop (thank you, Mike Demo!)
I haven't looked at the website lately - do they have the meet schedules up yet?
Actually, you could probably look at last years' schedule to see (I just thought of that!)
GusMan 08-26-2008, 11:59 AM No, they dont have this years schedule up yet. Hoping it comes soon. :)
But I would agree that last year's schedule would at least give a good idea as to what is going on and who may be leading / sponsoring it. Some of the events are annual favorites by many.
eyenjeff 08-30-2008, 06:20 PM We are going to be there too! Eileen, Jeff, Noah and Brigid.
It will be our first Mousefest and we are looking forward to it. We will be there Dec 7-14, if anyone is going at the same time, maybe we can meet up or pass on Main street!
houseofmouse 08-31-2008, 11:38 AM I want to go! Whose suitcase can I sneak in??;):p
Mark Goldhaber 09-01-2008, 01:05 PM There are no "official" meets until MouseFest chairman Dave Marx sends out the participation agreements for us to sign, but here's our tentative schedule so far:
Mark will co-host MouseFest 101 on Thursday again with Mike Scopa of AllEarsNet
David Koenig will host Epcot's Never Lands, a walking tour of the World Showcase that never was, on Saturday from 3:00-4:00 p.m.
MousssseFest 2008 will be held on Saturday from 4:00-5:00 p.m. at Boulangerie Patisserie
The fourth annual Mini-MouseAdventure will be held on Sunday from 10:00 a.m.-noon in the Magic Kingdom
The second annual Hustle-tini Meet will be held on Sunday evening at Pop Century from around 5:45-6:45 p.m.
Mike and Mark may try to add a Simba vs. Nemo meet on Friday, but we're not ready to commit yet
I'll be posting separate threads for each of these events once they become official.
tdelaney_98 09-01-2008, 05:45 PM Cool! Thanks!
GusMan 09-02-2008, 08:21 AM MousssseFest 2008 will be held on Saturday from 4:00-5:00 p.m. at Boulangerie Patisserie
Pssst... Tina... I think this may somewhat conflict with the early dinner arrangements that you and Mrs. GusMan made for LeCellier. You may want to send her a quick note to find out.
Im thinking... a real quick MoussssseFest stop for dessert ... then dinner ... then dessert again! :)
tdelaney_98 09-02-2008, 09:21 AM Most excellent. I did just chat with Mrs. GusMan and it does conflict, but only by a few minutes. Perhaps we should be at Boulangerie a few minutes before the Moussefest and show up a minute or two late to LeCellier? Or show up early at LeCellier and plan to be at the Moussefest for the last 15 mintues or so. Whatever you think.......yes, both works too!;)
tappenfeat 09-06-2008, 02:48 PM Gee, I'm arriving on the 14th of December...where will you guys be on the 15th???? :fez:
tdelaney_98 09-06-2008, 05:35 PM I'm around on the 15th! Wanna meet for a ride? I'm also going by myself (sniff) to Fantasmic on that evening!! PM me if you'd like to meet....Most of the MFesters leave on the 14th or 15th. I'm staying until the 16th.
Drince88 09-06-2008, 06:20 PM I leave on the 15th, but not until mid/late afternoon, so I'll be at whatever park is the 'designated' one for the day until it's time for me to go back and catch DME.
Mark Goldhaber 09-06-2008, 06:33 PM I don't have to head to the airport until 4 or 5 on the 15th, but have no plans for the day other than pack and head to the parks to decompress. Parks of the day are Epcot and DHS. Maybe we'll set up an unofficial MP-only meet for Monday afternoon.
tappenfeat 09-07-2008, 06:26 AM We're headed for Epcot on Monday! Who's up for Soarin'??? :fez:
(I've been practicing "the" Disney walk...you know the "Disney" walk!!! where your family members say...."HEY! Wait up! Don't walk so fast!") :fez::fez::fez:
tdelaney_98 09-07-2008, 10:35 AM I don't have to head to the airport until 4 or 5 on the 15th, but have no plans for the day other than pack and head to the parks to decompress. Parks of the day are Epcot and DHS. Maybe we'll set up an unofficial MP-only meet for Monday afternoon.
GREAT idea!!!!
GusMan 09-08-2008, 07:31 AM I don't have to head to the airport until 4 or 5 on the 15th, but have no plans for the day other than pack and head to the parks to decompress. Parks of the day are Epcot and DHS. Maybe we'll set up an unofficial MP-only meet for Monday afternoon.
I would be very much up for that. Got a 8PM flight and will prob have to catch DME around 5 PMish.
tappenfeat 09-10-2008, 03:53 AM Ok, so my family will be in Epcot that day...if anyone tosses a time and where to meet...we could work our way around it and finally meet you folks!
