Introduction:

Well for those of you that read the end of my Wifey Trip Report, you know a bit of the background story on this trip. But for those who didn't, here's a quick recap.

Back in late July I was laid off from my job. I was given a nice severance and took the time to find a new job that fit me perfectly. Well on August 18th I accepted a new position at JP Morgan Chase with a starting date of September 15th. Sept 15th also happens to be the day I get my last severance check from my old job. So Mom and I were chatting on August 19th and she came up with a fabulous idea. Since I had a few weeks left of "paid vacation" (as I've been calling it haha), she suggested we take the free time to have a Mom & Daughter trip. And since it was to celebrate my new job, I got to pick the place. So of course I picked Disney haha.

Turned out my dad had some airline vouchers he had to use by October so he traded those in for our airfare. We then called my Aunt who is a cast member and asked her to look into the resorts for us. Well by August 20th we had 2 Jetblue tickets down to Orlando with a 4 night stay at Port Orleans Riverside at $99 a night. What a deal!

I of course was soo super psyched and began planning right away. So tentatively, here are our plans:

Day 1: Hop on Magical Express to the resort, check-in (if we can) then head over to Epcot. We have dinner reservations that night at the Rose & Crown.
Day 2: The only thing planned is that we're getting up early and getting to Hollywood Studios first thing in the morning to get my mom on Toy Story Mania!! After that, we'll see where the day takes us.
Day 3: Probably Animal Kingdom in the morning. Dinner at California Grill (I'm soooooo excited for this, we've never eaten there and we both have already been on allears looking at the menu to decide what we want haha). Then over to Magic Kingdom for Wishes
Day 4: Maybe Epcot in the morning. But we're planning on spending almost the entire day and night in the Magic Kingdom. My aunt is taking the day off and bringing my baby cousin for some fun at the park. We're also all going that evening to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party. We've never been at the parks in the fall to see this so we're very excited for this too.
Day 5: Breakfast at Boatwright's Dining Hall then Magical Express to head home.

It's just a quick trip but I'm really excited to spend this time with my Mom before I start my new job. At this point I don't think I'm going to be doing any more planning. It's a last minute trip so we're just gonna wing it! haha

As soon as I get back I'll post the full trip report with pictures before I start the new job. :D

how late does he play til in the evenings? most of the parks are closed early while we're there so we'll probably be back at the resort by 9:30ish each night.
Catching him in the lounge would be a great way to end a night

If you wander over to POFQ, Eliot Dyson plays in the Scat Cat Lounge. He's amazing. A virtual one-man band. We saw him 3 times during our last trip.
