I want to add on with the animal kingdom and want to get a studio on savanah every year in value season. I see they sell them in blocks like 100 110 etc is it posssible to buy just the one extra point so it come up to 101 is what i need. I really do not want more than that and i do not want to end up short like I did at the Beach club I never tried to buy just a few points so I do not even know if it is possible.

I believe that the minimum add-on is 25 points.
With banking and borrowing, though, you should be able to grab the extra point that you need with a little planning.

Lets put it this way, I agree with you that I dont want to own more points than what I can reasonably expect to use given the options and flexibility that DVC offers. If every once in a while you want to go to another resort that may only a few additional points, you can plan for it, banking and borrowing as you see fit, without the financial obligation that comes with owning the extra points. If you think that you would use the extra points if you purchased them, then that might be a good value to you.

I would start by banking and borrowing. If then you find that you want more out of your membership, then an add-on might be right for you. This is pretty much our plan as well as we are somewhat in the same situation.
