Has anyone else noticed that KNOTT'S BERRY FARM has been renamed KNOTT'S THEME PARK ?

yea i noticed that but most of their stuff at the park still says Knott's Berry Farm

Actually, it is still called Knotts Berry Farm. I am an employee at Knotts. Allow me to explain, at least what I understand. Knotts Berry Farm refers to the resort as a whole, Knotts Berry Farm, Soak City and the Raddison hotel. (In the same way that one would say the Disneyland Resort is different than Disneyland Park.) So Knotts Theme Park is just what it says it is, a smaller division of Knotts Berry Farm.

That seems rather silly. Anyways Knott's is just holding onto Disneyland being 6 miles down the road. That is what pulls the out of town visitors in, otherwise it would just be a local park.
