I was reading about these fireworks cruises to see Wishes and thought it would
be a great idea. Then I was reading about grand gatherings and fireworks cruises and thought well, if we could meet up with others and form a grand gathering for the cruise, that would be even more fun!
Has anyone ever done this? Or even taken the fireworks cruise? I am trying to find info on it but I havent been able to find official info with dates, prices etc...
We are going 12/7-12/14 and I was thinking on doing it on Dec 11th.
Any info would be great!

Hey, E. I have been on a Wishes cruise during MNSSHP. It was FAB. It's really difficult to get a boat, though. You might want to call and see if it is even available to rent before trying to fill it up with people to split the cost.
Now all that said, it is WELL worth the $$ in my opinion. Great idea!
ETA: Call 407-WDW-PLAY. They'll give you the most updated prices and availability. You can catch the boat from any of the MK marinas, I believe. Poly obviously would work best for you. I think I paid nearly $300 and that would be for a boat that held 10 people. Of course, that was 3 years ago this coming October, so.....

We just did Wishes Specialty Cruise in June. It was AMAZING. The cost was $275 and held up to 10 people. You can sign up to dock from any of the 3 lagoon hotels 90 days in advance. We were told to at 7 am eastern and had no trouble getting a reservation. I was told to call the hotel directly but at 7 am the hotel told me no, call WDW-PLAY.
We debated between this cruise or the grand gathering cruise. This was cheaper per person and for us more personal. The intimate cruise was much more important to us and it was so enjoyable. We left Poly at 9:10, docked to watch the water pageant in front of Grand Floridian, took a tour of the entire lagoon and docked in front of the castle five minutes before the fireworks. The music was chimed in perfectly and it was a very emotional moment, I can't say enough about the view. We were back at Poly at 10:30. Great night!
We did see the grand gathering boat out and were glad we didn't take it. Smee and Cap't Hook were leading songs and it was lit up and kind of loud. I know a lot of people and kids would really enjoy it but the specialty cruise was more our speed and we even had 2 kids on board.
Hope this helps and good luck, it's definitely worth the $ and we will do it again.
