We are planning on visiting DL in early December. My little princess (5yo) LOVES Jack Skellington and we were wondering if he is ever in the park? Is the haunted mansion still in the Nightmare Before Christmas look or is that only for Halloween?

Neither Jack, nor any of the characters from Nightmare Before Christmas roam the park, but there is plenty of merchandise in many of the shops, and a store in New Orleans Square dedicated to them. And, YES, the Haunted Mansion will be the NBC overlay.

Oh well.
I am sure she will be thrilled with the mansion though. Hey, so will I! I have always wanted to see it with the overlay.
I wonder if small world will be done with the holiday stuff?

Okay, I could have sworn I saw a Jack and a Sally character there a year or two ago- in front of the Haunted Mansion in the evening. Did I make this up? Have I lost my mind? :|

While I've never seen Jack & Sally during a "regular" park visit, I know they exist -- they made an appearance during the CHOC Walk at Disneyland two years ago. (Before the park opened for the day.) They stood outside the Haunted Mansion and waved at us as we walked by. There were a lot of characters out cheering on the walkers. I don't remember them last year, though.
