View Full Version : Teen struck, killed by Six Flags coaster in Ga. corona 06-28-2008, 04:10 PM story (http://www.latimes.com/news/la-na-sixflags29-2008jun29,0,4963327.story) Ohthatjeff 06-28-2008, 05:35 PM How completely unfortunately and completely avoidable. kijay 06-28-2008, 06:43 PM And I bet the family will try to sue Six Flags for this kids stupidity. Hopping two fences, ignoring warning signs, yep, they will try to blame Six Flags for that. They'll say that enough wasn't done to prevent their kid from doing something dumb that led to this tragedy. What a shame. HisKid1 06-28-2008, 06:45 PM Can you imagine how horrific and traumatizing it would be to be ON the ride at that time? It was a HAT!!! Every generation thinks it will not happen to them. monoman 06-28-2008, 08:49 PM And I bet the family will try to sue Six Flags for this kids stupidity. They'll say that enough wasn't done to prevent their kid from doing something dumb that led to this tragedy. What a shame. not only will they accuse six flags, they'll win! this just happened near me. some stupid teenager jumped a fence into a pool(which was closed) and he hurt his toe or something like that. His family sued the pool and won, and now the pool is closed. stuff like this happens around the country all the time. ChipmunkStar 06-28-2008, 09:05 PM Ah, Darwinism. doublewide77 06-29-2008, 08:48 AM Can you imagine how horrific and traumatizing it would be to be ON the ride at that time? It was a HAT!!! Every generation thinks it will not happen to them. What's sadder is this is a hanging ride with the track over you, the lowest dangling things are riders feet. So he may have even been hit by a rider. The report did say no riders where hurt so hopefully not. Also the reports mention a park worker was killed just this way 6 years ago. Explains how it could have happened, would be very hard to guess how far away you need to stay from the track to not be hit. And yea family just might win a lawsuit, by saying, you knew this could kill and you didn't put up enough warnings, barriers, etc. backsthepack 06-29-2008, 09:41 AM It is so sad that this happened. Even a "stupid" act doesn't mean someone deserves to die. But I hope that the family does not sue and win over this. Our country is so quick to sue someone over their own mistakes. Leap for Joy 06-29-2008, 10:31 AM His friend was in the area too. I'd never get over seeing something like this. mzloolue 06-30-2008, 10:54 AM Disturbing. Both the incident and some of the responses... |
