monoman 06-28-2008, 10:45 AM hi all. just out of curiosity, what is everyone's favorite ride in each park? still trying to write the itinerary for my trip in 10 Days! Thanks for your help! futurecm21 06-28-2008, 12:29 PM hmmm good question..... Magic Kingdom, close tie between the haunted mansion and pirates of the caribbean Animal Kingdom, probably kali river rapids EPCOT, not a ride, but my favorite thing about EPCOT is the world showcase MGM, again, not a ride, but favorite thing to do is watch fantasmic! hope that helps! futurecm21 natrob 06-28-2008, 01:04 PM magic kingdom - splash mountain animal kingdom - expedition everest epcot - soaring hollywood studios - rock n rollercoaster and fantasmic but not a ride CBFETT 06-28-2008, 01:45 PM magic kingdom - space & splash mountain animal kingdom - expedition everest epcot - soaring hollywood studios - star tours (I'm a Star Wars freak to the core!) scoobydooby 06-28-2008, 01:47 PM MK - Buzz Lightyear with Big Thunder Mountain a close 2nd Epcot - Soarin and the Mexico part of World Showcase DHS - We missed a lot here but Tower of Terror from what we did, although I'm thinking Toy Story Mania may whip it into 2nd place soon... Animal Kingdom - Festival of the Lion King padilla6710 06-28-2008, 01:54 PM MK-The People Movers aka "The bule Line" brings back great memories of Disneyland back in the day :) Splash Mountain is close as well!! Epcot: Test Track and Living with the Land-Love this boat ride, so enjoyable and educational!!! AK: The Safari!! I love animals nothing makes me happier than seeing them up close :) HS: Tower of Terror so much fun, cant be missed!!! Doug Lemon 06-28-2008, 02:26 PM Magic Kingdom: carousel of progress (a sentimental favorite) Epcot: Mission Space Disney Studios: The Great Movie Ride (though, to echo others, I think Fantasmic [not a ride]is the single best attraction in all of WDW) Animal Kingdom: Expedition Everest. futurecm21 06-28-2008, 02:35 PM This will show just how long its been since I've visited the parks in Florida, or Mouseplanet. wish life wasn't so fast paced. I forgot all about Soarin even though that is by far the best actual ride in EPCOT Also I wasn't positive the Great Movie Ride was still around, but since apparently it is, I'd take that over Fantasmic. not they aren't both great.:) Drince88 06-28-2008, 02:43 PM Tough one! It so depends on my mood! AK: Expedition Everest. For shows, Nemo is really good. Studios: Toy Story Midway Mania. It's bumped Tower of Terror and RocknRollercoaster, which are tied for second now. It'll be interesting to see how the FP distribution at RnR changes with TSMM in the lineup, now (when I was there it was just AP previews, and they weren't using FP -- but you do miss a LOT of the great queue, include Mr. Potatohead, if you use FP!) Epcot: Voices of Liberty (a capella group in the American Adventure rotunda). Ride - Mission:Space MK: Considering the first thing I do when entering this park at any time other than rope drop (when I go hit Fantasyland) is get a FP for Buzz, I'd guess I'd have to say Buzz! Tough call between SpectroMagic and Wishes for best show. tdelaney_98 06-28-2008, 03:19 PM AK: Expedition Everest, Safari, Nemo DHS: One Man's Dream, Fantasmic! (haven't done Toy Story Mania yet!!) EPCOT: Another vote for Soarin' and Voices of Liberty MK: Peter Pan, POTC Fantasmicgal 06-28-2008, 04:18 PM MK - BTMR & POTC HS - RocknRollercoaster (my favorite ride anywhere) & as my name implies, Fantasmic Epcot - Soarin AK - Expedition Everest Greg in TN 06-30-2008, 05:45 AM Favorites: MK -- Splash Mtn Epcot -- gotta be Soarin' w/Mission:Space a close 2nd, and I think Illuminations is the best non-ride in all of "Disney" :) Studios -- RnR & ToT AK -- Everest !!! :D bochnikm 06-30-2008, 07:05 AM Magic Kingdom – Mickey’s PhilharMagic Epcot – Tie -Soarin’ and Mission Space (orange ticket) Studios – Muppet Vision 3-D, Sure soon to be replaced by Toy Story mania Animal kingdom – Finding Nemo-the Musical We are heading back in September for four days with the free dining offer. jengold29 06-30-2008, 07:06 AM MK- Space Mountain (but mostly for nostalgic reasons) Epcot- I still love Test Track DHS- Tower of Terror AK- Everest (but Dinosaur is a close second) mdrausch 06-30-2008, 09:11 AM Magic Kingdom: Pirates EPCOT: Living Seas with Nemo or Test Track Disney's Hollywood Studios: Rockin Rollercoaster or Muppetvision 3D (not a ride per se) Animal Kingdom: Kilimanjaro Safaris Favorite late night show: Fantasmic thndrmtn 07-01-2008, 07:42 AM MK- Thunder Mountain (hence my username :) ) Epcot- Test Track, Soarin in close second HS- Toy Story Mania AK- Festival of the Lion King (but I finally got up enough courage to ride Everest, so it's in second place!) Parktowne 07-01-2008, 10:28 AM MK - Buzz AK - Everest DHS - Tower (going in October so may be replaced by Toy Story Mania) Epcot - Mission Space (more intense version!) UsBurchs 07-02-2008, 07:55 AM I really only have one absolute FAVORITE ride . . . Big Thunder Moutain Railroad. Whether its Disneyland or WDW, I LOVE that ride . . . and I hate rollercoasters - go figure! kennyroo 07-03-2008, 08:36 AM Hi everybody. I have a little project I've been working on for general travel information, but I started out with WDW because I worked there when I was in college as Jungle Cruise skipper. Anyway, the site lets you rate various attractions so it might be interesting to this thread. The site is called Planaroo. I won't post a link in here because I don't want to upset the moderator  but you can probably guess how to find it. (Anyway, I don't think of Planaroo as a competitor to this site which does a fantastic job of covering every detail about WDW. We're going to cover the Top 10 US travel destinations, but we won't have as much depth about WDW as MousePlanet does. It's hard/impossible to catch up with such a huge site, so I won't even try.) The site is in beta right now and not everything is working correctly, but I'd appreciate any feedback you might have. Thanks! -Kenny monoman 07-03-2008, 12:33 PM Anyway, the site lets you rate various attractions so it might be interesting to this thread. The site is called Planaroo. Thanks! This is a very interesting sight. And thanks to everyone else, too! Now, Im convicned that I have to see Fantasmic this time :D FMTX 07-03-2008, 01:53 PM I pretty sure I did one of these last year but I would guess my answers are different this year except for the Matterhorn that will always be my favorite ride. MK - Pirates - even better with the modifacation from a couple years back AK - Kilimanjaro Safaris - Like seeing the animals but like even more how Disney makes it a ride. DHS - Toy Story Mania - it is better than Buzz. I like Buzz, I just think Toy Story Mania is better. Epcot - Test Track - call me unoriginal DL - Matterhorn - The king of all Disney attractions in my book. CA - Soarin - since the movie and the state you are in while watching it actually match up. Can't they make a soarin over Florida for Epcot? garethanders 07-05-2008, 07:53 AM OK their are alot so lets see shall we erm: MK = Haunted Mansion EPCOT = Mission Space AK = Dinosaur Studios = Rock n Rollercoaster and Typhoon = LAZY RIVER BB = Again Lazy River MrIncredible 07-05-2008, 05:16 PM These are my top picks--the kids might take a different view: Epcot==Soaring MK--Big Thunder Railroad (at night) Hollywood Studios=Rock & Roll Rollercoaster AK--Safari For shows: Hollywood Studios: Indiana Jones Stunt Show AK--Lion King Epcot--Illuminations MK--Wishes wwithers 07-09-2008, 10:53 AM MK: Peter Pan (Much better than DL's version) AK: Kilimanjaro Safaris (although I really like Everest and Kali RR too) DHS: Tower of Terror, hands down (again, MUCH better than CA's version). Epcot: Mission:Space. I love this park so much though, World Showcase is one of my very favorite places in WDW. I would have chosen Soarin' but I've only ridden it here once since I can't justify the wait times when I ride it several times during any visit to DL. I also LOVE Illuminations, a "not to be missed" show, IMO. Olivia's (8) favorites: MK: Buzz, Teacups and Aladdin's Carpets AK: Kali RR DHS: Voyage of the Little Mermaid (okay, so it's a show, not a ride) Epcot: Mission:Space (the green side) and Test Track emmah 07-09-2008, 09:47 PM MK: Peter Pan (followed by Carousel of Progress, Peoplemover and Haunted Mansion, BTMRR, and Splash - hard to make a decision here!) Epcot: Soarin' AK: Everest (followed by the Nemo show, and ITTBAB) HS: ToT (followed by RnRC) |
