I am an AP holder at USH. I got a phone call approximately a month ago from USH. They told me that they are in the process of building a new dark ride and that they want the opinion of AP holders. They said the dark ride has a track that includes twists and turns. The ride will complete the track and then run the whole track backwards (I hope that made sense). It will also follow a story. They wanted me to pick which of the 3 stories would make me more likely to visit the park. The choices were Men In Black, House of Horrors or The Mummy. I chose MIB because I am generally a chicken. But I said "Isn't there a MIB in Florida?" He wasn't sure so he asked someone else and they said yes. So they may not want to duplicate it. Another ride would be great in the park.

Maybe its just me, but I have a hard time believing they would call to survey you and not know their park facts. I just dont see USH giving this much info away about new rides.
True or not.
Sounds fishy to me.

Well the entire survery took over an hour. They asked me which rides I always go on, which attractions I never do and how often I go. He had me rate all the attractions on how kid-friendly they are, how exciting they are etc. The guy obviously is just a phone survery guy. He stumbled over attraction names. But when I told him that I usually don't see the Wild, Wild West Stunt show, he told me that they closed that. I didn't believe him, so I went to USH and it was true. I'm not sure if they'll actually build something since they just opened that Spiderman Show. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

There are agencies that run these surveys. The company wirtes a script for the phone representatives to use, but they are not company employees and therefore do would not be expected to know every detail about the company.

I'm just an employee, so I have no advance knowledge of this, but this attraction has to be at least two years off, since Shrek 4-D is going to be the big launch for Summer 2003.
There is no construction in the park right now other than that, though there are some serious rumors that the new ride will replace E.T. Not a good move, IMHO, because E.T.--as unthrilling and poorly aging as it may be--is the only ride for kids in a park that's already not too child-friendly.
