Not sure where else to put this question but we are heading to Universal Orlando in a few weeks. We just stayed at Disney for 12 nights so this time, Universal. My son will be having his 10th birthday while there.

Anyone have any suggestions for a great place/restaurant at Universal Orlando (in a park or at City Walk) for a 10 year old birthday dinner/fun kind of place appropriate for his age child?

Thanks -

Well we were just there (Memorial Day weekend) for my son's 10th birthday.

I'd say he would tell you that NBA City was the best restaurant EVER! Now if your son doesn't like basketball, the NASCAR Cafe or Hard Rock Cafe would probably be just as good.

I did see that Universal is starting a Simpsons character breakfast- now that would have made his day.

Just an FYI Universal didn't have birthday buttons but he wore his Disney one and got lots of greetings all day.

Thanks for the info, will look into those places. Was thinking about the NASCAR cafe but wondered if it was more adult themed being in City Walk??

I think that overall Universal is definately a PG rated theme park (as opposed to Disney's G) I didn't see or find anything completely inappropriate for my 10 and 6 year olds (there were some borderline things for this age and very very few things for toddlers to see/do).

On another note, I'd really recommend the Horror Make Up show at Universal, my kids loved it.
