Husband and wife several time visitors to DLR and DCA Kids first time.

Traveling to Disneyland: Flight was uneventful. First time flying to Orange County and loved it, rental car right onsite at airport and also 20 minutes to hotel.

Hotel: two room mini suite and room was clean and fine. Could be problem with two families and only one bathroom for the two rooms. Lots of room for our family to spread out. Two kids in porta cribs in one room, my wife and I in the other. No working fan in the bathroom which made it get really hot.

Free breakfast was limited, but we just ended up eating at Mimi's or at the park so no big issue.

DLR experience:Park was clean and wondering as I remember and the reason why I keep coming back. Water and food was around when we needed it and the assortment of offerings was nice as you never know when you will need a pickle, corn dog or fresh grapes :)

We have to give super KUDOS for Disneyland Parks for supplying large towels for the changing tables, we brought our own but did not have to use them since every bathroom had them for us.

A couple of observations while at the park. I know that kids will be kids, but this is just my impression and my opinion.
1. Alot of running in the park by groups of kids and there never seemed to be a cast member around to help out. I really am weary of saying something when I have two small children with me for fear if things were to go bad.

2. Line cutting. I know this is an age old problem, but there was lots of it going on. People acting like they are walking up to catch up with a group. That is not the way it should work. After couple of times of saying something to people it gets old.

3. On three different occasions castmembers were having conversations while walking among us guests or actually while working and helping guests. Topics included talking poorly about Disney Management, and also talking poorly about co-workers. I understand people are entitled to their opinions, but there is a time and a place for them to discuss these issues.

Spent the majority of our time at DLR and just a half a day at DCA.

We loved our stay and will be working to make it an even better trip next time. My wife asked if we could come back sooner than later and not wait so long.

Next time we might research and go during a time when all the grad parties are going on.

One wish would have been chosen for a Dream Fast pass while waiting to get into the park. With trying to get the kids on rides it would have been nice to have the fast passes already in hand to get on the rides.

Just trying to be realistic for people. Don't get me wrong, we all felt the magic, even on the plane ride home, when the 2 year old was getting sad....I brought out the Mickey Mouse cooking from the Main Street bakery and the smile on her face you could not put a price on it!

Thank you for taking the time t o write your trip report as it is information 5 years from now that I will use if I have to chaperone my child’s school for Grad night visit. I have been not feeling well recently and I noticed when watching NBCs 100 TV miscue moments last night that I did feel better after laughing and better this morning. SO I want to thank you even more for bringing tears of laughter as laughter is indeed the best medicine. I am referring to your typo about returning to Disneyland, that in order to enhance your experience of groups of running teens and those groups cutting in line due to understaffed CMs, you are going to plan your next visit on the days with the highest % of high school seniors in the park. It was a golden moment for me when I read that and cried with laughter for more then normal, reading it aloud several times, couldn’t help laughing !!! So thank you very much !!!

Figures that after all of the typing and thinking about the post, when trying not to sound stupid I did just that. I guess in the end it is not the amount of teens, but the way that some of the groups acted. I should have added there were large numbers of well behaved grads that I would hire to work for me. But a few of them I just could not. :)

Sounds like a fun trip overall. I am sorry about the disappointing moments. I am also bothered when "reality" enters my Disney experience - rude people, cast members acting as employees rather than performers on stage. Most of us want our DL vacation to be perfect, and for people to be good examples for our children. Sad when other's selfishness takes over. Sometimes, all you can do is smile, ignore it, and take another picture of your kids having the time of their lives :)

I was also there on the 27th, 28th, and 30th of May. We did not go on Thursday when they actaully had a grad party that night but on Friday I saw tons of teenagers in big groups all wearing the same shirt. We thought the 27th and 28th were perfect. Perfect weather, busy but not to busy. With it being a little busier you did get the plus of having the fireworks, fantasmic, light parade, and more characters seem to be out. I saw The Beast, Penguins from Mary Poppins, Cruella, Max w/ Goofy, and even saw Mickey and Minnie in DCA in vacation clothes and they were posing togther for pictures. All characters I had never seen before it previous trips but we usually like to go in Feb or the fall.
