Hey everyone - I'm getting married this Saturday and we're heading to Disney World for out honeymoon. My fiancee really wants to get some spa time while we're there and I was wondering if there are any reasonably priced places in the resort area that would be recommended. We're staying in a hotel that's right by Downtown Disney, and we'd prefer something nearby as we're trying to avoid the expense of a rental car.

I know Sarratoga Springs has a spa. They're accessible via boat (or walking during the day) from Downtown Disney (boat dock is by Rainforest Cafe - I don't know where the walking path is, though).

Link to SSR's Spa. (http://www.relaxedyet.com/saratoga_springs_spa.asp) My girl fiend and her husband did the couples aroma therapy massage last weekend and loved it. The 50 minute package was $270.
Oops almost forgot- the walking path is not really your best bet, I would take the boat. The path is located near the bus station at the end near Rainforest Café. It ends at the Congress Park section of the resort then you would have to take an internal bus to the front of the resort or walk (probably about 15min). If you take the boat it drops you off at the back of the Hospitality House and it's just a short walk to the spa from there.

I had a massage at the Grand Floridian spa. It was nice, but very, very pricey. For a honeymoon, it would be worth it. I've heard better things about the other spas (rather than the GF one). They're newer. BTW, CONGRATS!

I have a quick question about the spa treatments that I thought I would post here, rather than starting a new thread.
When it comes to booking treatments, how far in advance should I be calling? My DF and I are thinking of doing a couple's massage while on our honeymoon this August. Is this something that we should book in advance or is it possible to set this up once we arrive? TIA.

The 2008 edition of the Unofficial Guide has ratings of the WDW area spas. Check it out at a bookstore if that's the only information you are interested in. Their reviews are very good.
I highly recommend the massage services from the spa shared by the Swan & Dolphin hotels. I wouldn't necessarily recommend them if you're looking for that immersive spa-day experience (I found the setting to be a little clinical), but the massage I had there was WONDERFUL. They told me that they specialize in sports therapy massage because of their proximity to Wide World of Sports.

Has anyone ever used WDW spa services? I'm looking at the Couples massage or packages . . . and prices look a bit steep. . .are they worth it? Are there discounts available? (AAA, etc). . .
thanks for any input!

DVC members get a discount, but, beyond that, I don't know of any.

DoodleMushyBoo,
I merged your question with a recent thread about spa services at WDW.
