View Full Version : First Week of November? momuvseven 05-21-2008, 02:20 PM Anyone know why this wouldn't be a good week to visit DLR? tinker3 05-21-2008, 02:36 PM We usually go the 1st week of November and love it! You get to see all the Halloween come down and slowly watch Christmas go up! Crowds are usually pretty light. Although the closer you get to Veterans Day the busier it will be. Election day is that 1st Tuesday, but shouldn't affect the crowds. disneyochem 05-22-2008, 12:09 PM We usually go to DL the week after Veteran's Day--very light crowds and you still get the Christmas decorations. Due to a new school's scedule, we will be there during the first week of November too. I'm hoping that it will be light crowds. I have gone around Halloween in the past--usually it is busy that night but the days are relatively light. foolishmortal 05-22-2008, 12:56 PM first week of November is the best! The crowds are lt and the weather is good enough to go swimming and get wet on the rides. The halloween goes down and the xmas starts going up! It's like a treasue hunt to see what is new each day! And election day the park is a tomb!!!well At least it was last time went went on election day! We will be there Nov.3-8th!again have fun everyone! kat christina 05-22-2008, 03:37 PM We'll be there that week too!! You definately need to stay away from Veteran's day!. A couple of years ago we went on the Friday before Veteran's day (which was on Monday) and it was terrible!! It was shoulder to shoulder around the hub and the wait times for rides were unbelievably. It will be interesting to see when the Christmas stuff goes up this year because I know that that can affect the crowd levels. nitaorr 06-27-2008, 12:31 PM I am planning a trip to DLR in the fall and want to avoid crowds as much as possible. Several years ago (2003-is0 we went week of Halloween (before they did special party thing) and it was wonderful - very light crowds. What is this Halloween Party that costs extra? Would that bring crowds? How is first week of November? I don't want to see construction everywhere with prep for Christmas. Any suggestions? Thanks!! |
