Now that I know there is no water park in DL I am thinking about splurging on one the resort hotels, but they are showing no openings. Is there any other places to get a room through, to stay at PP or the DLH?

What I'd do is make reservations elsewhere, just to be safe, and then call each day in the evening to see if there are any cancellations. I bet you'll get lucky if you're persistant enough. Staying on-site is particularly exciting! I wouldn't do it any other way! Then start saving your pennies for a trip to WDW! They have soooo much more to do there and plenty of resort choices.

Rodeomom Call the hotel directly! They have rooms that are not listed on the web site. Call a travel co. too. They have rooms for thier packages. Try Disney travel too.

I've always had good luck with Hotels.com. That's how I normally book our hotels. Good luck!

My advice is to call the hotel directly, and try frequently. We called twice before booking at Paradise Pier and then a month before we left there was an opening at the Disneyland Hotel!!!

You can also check hotels.com, Orbitz, Expedia, etc but they are usually more expensive. You could also try AAA if you have it.
