Do ALL the parks have a show at rope drop?I knew MK did but not the others....I should be ashamed if I missed this one!:p GusMan 05-19-2008, 06:32 AM I know MK has one and AK has one as well. Greg in TN 05-19-2008, 07:27 AM I've actually seen one @ Studios -- kinda tries to set the stage for every guest feeling like they're an "extra" in a movie shoot all day long. Also in Epcot -- I was in the back of the crowd, and couldn't really see a whole lot, but I think it was more of the characters saying "Good Morning" than any type of big production. None of the other shows are nearly as elaborate as the Magic Kingdom show, though .. Ah, yes... now I remember that one. I only caught a glimpse of it, though. There was not a lot of hoopla over it. danyoung 05-19-2008, 10:19 AM I've seen the shows at the MK, the Studios, and at DAK. I'm pretty sure they don't do one at Epcot. lilfaeriebrat 05-21-2008, 09:20 AM What is the one at AK like? I've seen MK and Studios. Also is it possible to see the show if entering through RFC? Drince88 05-21-2008, 10:08 AM What is the one at AK like? I've seen MK and Studios. Also is it possible to see the show if entering through RFC? You can see it if you enter through RFC (is that open first thing in the morning, though? You miss out on the chance to talk with Wes Palm if you do!) It's done at the Tree of Life and involves the characters in their Safari outfits getting ready for a safari. I think they have Mickey on a cherry picker, or something like that, in front of the Tree - but I've only seen it from a distance and wasn't paying a great deal of attention. (Wes Palm is a potted palm kind of like Push the talking garbage can - but he's a talking palm in a pot on wheels. He had a lot of fun with a little girl ahead of me in line one time, asking her her name and then having everyone waiting say Hi to her - and then when he came back later, he asked for her by name!) danyoung 05-21-2008, 11:33 AM The rope drop at DAK is right at the end of the walkway leading out of the entry forest, with the Tree of Life right in front of you. And yes, Mickey appears on a lift in front of the tree. The story is that Minnie, Goofy and Pluto are getting ready for a big day in the park, and are going over their checklist of stuff they need. It's pretty cute as park open shows go. |
