I am thinking of having dinner at Napa Rose when we are there is July. My questions is to those that have dined there, is it really dressy? Can you just wear casual california clothes? We aren't the fancy smancy types, but I do not want to look out of place either. Thanks as always.;)

Casual is fine. They expect guests to be coming from the parks.

Casual is fine. They expect guests to be coming from the parks.Yes, but also don't be shocked to see people dressed up. It's a popular restaurant for people celebrating a special event so the average level of dress is definitely above the usual you see in the parks.
I would recommend pants or slacks and a nice shirt.

While I wouldn't stroll in there dripping wet from Grizzly River Run (that'd be a bit too casual ;) ), I've always gone there in whatever I wore to the parks, and felt completely at ease. Dress for Napa Rose patrons runs the gamut from jeans and t-shirts to dresses and sport-coats. Wear what you feel good in, and enjoy!

Go with confidence dressed as you are, having spent a marathon day in the park. The hotel concierge will encourage you to do so too. As mentioned above, you will see many dining guests who have come to the hotel speficically to dine so they are dressed for a business dinner meeting or a night out, but you will also see many others dressed just like you.
The first time we dined at Napa Rose, we walked in straight from the parks. I was in a tennis skirt and dri-fit athletic shirt. The rest of my family was dressed similarly in resort appropriate athletic wear. We did not feel out of place at all. It's actually a pleasant surprise to show up for a dining experience of this quality dressed in such casual confort!
On a subsequent extended family trip, there was a lapse of communication. My brother and his family went back to their room to shower and change, coming down dressed to the nine's - while the rest of us came as we were having dashed in from the parks. This time I was in capri's and a basic blouse - everyone else similarly. No one besides my brother and his wife seemd to notice or care how any of us were dressed.
Don't let the idea of Napa Rose being too fancy dissuade you from going. We are foodies - and we fairly well traveled. On our first visit and after experiencing the GCH tour, we were surprised and impressed that Disney developed such an elegant hotel connected to the park - then Napa Rose just blew us away. It is a vey stark departure from say - a Disney retail store. Napa Rose is pricey, but worth every cent....and you don't have to dress up!

It's a wonderful dining experience! We ate there dressed up since it was for our anniversary but there were a lot of people dressed casual having been at the parks. I think it's one of the rare restaurants were you don't feel uncomfortable however you dress.

Not too fancy and there were plenty of kids there, too, when my husband and I did our romantic date (ha!) there.
