This article takes a detailed look at James A. "Jay" Rasulo and his history at the Walt Disney Company.

QuikQuote: Since he joined Disney in 1986, Rasulo has held a range of jobs across the company. He was head of corporate alliances between 1993 and 1995 and later became senior vice president of Disney Regional Entertainment, where he had a mixed record. He was involved in the development of the ESPN Zone restaurants, but also the Club Disney entertainment centers that Disney shut down in 1999 because of weak sales.
In 1998, Rasulo moved to Paris to become executive vice president of Euro Disney -- the holding company for Disneyland Paris -- and became the resort's chairman and CEO two years later.

I like the implications of Rasulo's opinion that maybe the balance has been tilted in favor of financial efficiencies. It seems to say that he thinks show quality has been given the short end of the stick in favor of cost savings. If he can truly bring back the proper balance, he's our man.

I also like his track record in Paris. The people I've talked to that have been there recently generally have good things to say about the state of the parks over there, which is encouraging.
