My first trip to DisneyWorld is in a few days and I'm feeling nervous. I'm not sure why. Has any one else felt the same way or am I just an odd ball.

I don't think it is odd at all. The scope of the place is so large, I'm sure you feel a bit stressed that you will miss something really good, or that you have not planned adequately. Just realize that there is no way you will see and do everything, and just enjoy what you do experience. We have been there quite a few times, and still have things on our "to do" list. Each trip, we plan one or two small things to try, maybe a new restaurant, or taking a tour, along with old favorites. You are going to have a great time, just pace yourself. The great thing is, just wandering through the parks, entertainment just sort of presents itself to you.

I am going in two weeks and I am nervous too (first trip with my 5-yr-old). I hope he likes it and doesn't get too "home-sick" or overwhelmed by the crowds, etc. I just keep telling myself.. "you have 7 days, take lots of breaks, just "go with the flow" and enjoy the experience..." I guess it is just my "over-planning" "type A" personality that makes me worry...

I get nervous everytime I go! I even cry a little everytime I see that darn castle and mickey mouse in the parade! Partly because I know when I am there I do not need to worry about grown up worries (such as bills, laundry, gas prices, ect) I really do get to be a child there and also because it is the one place that I know magic still exists.

Go knowing that there is so much to do that you will not be able to do it all. There are so many things that we did not do last year. They are on our list to try to do, but we will not stress if we do not. I do sswear that this year we will ride the paddleboat around Tom Sawyers Island!

Enjoy your trip!

We're headed in the opposite direction, to DL, and I'm nervous as well; it'll be the first time my kids have flown and there is just so much that can go wrong. In the end, trips usually work out fine for us, so I know we'll handle whatever the gods through our way, but I always get nervous before trips.

YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE A GREAT TIME!!!! Try to relax. I know that once you are on your way, you'll feel a lot better.

Oops, too late; she's already on her way. I'm sure she's fine now!
