Just read the column about the beach cottage at the Vero Beach DVC. I have to say that I LOVE this resort. We stayed in one of the ocean-front Inn rooms about 2 years ago and we had a wonderful time. Our room was spacious, clean and beautiful. The ocean is right over the dune, with a boardwalk-stairway down. the pool there is great, with a huge waterslide in a lighthouse structure. The service is friendly and laid back, the kids programs were nice, the atmosphere is perfect for unwinding before or after a visit to WDW. We enjoyed our stay at Disney'a Vero Beach as much or more than the other 6 deluxes we have tried at WDW and Disneyland. I am not a beach person, my husband and kids are - this place was just right for us.

We also got to see the space shuttle take off at night, over the water - that was ultra-cool.
