Do you think it would be weird to have dinner at the Spirit of Aloha show on Thanksgiving?
I was thinking of making ADR's for the 5pm dinner... then see if we could make it over to the campfire sing along at Ft.Wilderness.
We were planning on touring the resorts all day on Thanksgiving.
Thanks for any advice.

Thanksgiving at Disney World is a time to explore non-traditional dinners for the holiday. We had a Thanksgiving dinner at Jiko. It was wonderful and the restaurant was packed. A lot of places will make some menu changes, as a nod to the holiday. You can always have turkey and stuffing at home.

This is exactly why it would be a good idea to have Thanksgiving dinner at the SoA show or anything else that may appear to be "untraditional." :)

You will probably talk about it for Thanksgivings to come.

I think thats a great idea. To have Thanksgiving period in WDW would be a blast. If all the fam is there... heck why not. And if not your still having a good time.

And yeah that would be something to talk about for years to come!!!

We were at WDW over Thanksgiving in 2006. I can't recall what we had to eat. I want to say we ate at Bistro De Paris, but I could be wrong. That said, WDW is a madhouse over Thankgiving.

Hey - go for it! How fun and what a Thanksgiving to remember! I say, if you don't have to cook, it's a GREAT Thanksgiving. :D

If it makes you feel any better, we'll be eating turkey sandwiches on the airplane on our way down to Orlando that day. I'd much rather eat a wonderful Aloha meal than a cold turkey sandwich - although, I'm sure it will be a memorable experience as well! ;) LOL

I can commiserate with you about cold turkey sandwiches.
In 2005 we drove to WDW on Thanksgiving day.
I had bought some smoked turkey from a local BBQ, jammed it into some croissants with some mayo, and that was our meal on the road.

We did stop later that evening at a Cracker Barrel.

This year I'm looking forward to ribs and hula dancing on Thanksgiving.

We also will be on a plain Thanksgiving Day heading for WDW. I'm thinking of eating dinner at the castle? (Cinderella's table) any good? This is our first time to WDW and thought that might be a fun way to start. I wish they would post the park hours on the disney world site. They have the calender for Nov. up but no times.

I'm sooo loving the Castle idea! But, I'll still share my sandwich with you on the flight if you want a bite. ;)

Hee hee! I'm glad I'll have someone else there to share my excitement! (not that my family won't be excited, but still . . .) I won't look quite as crazy at the gate if you are there jumping up and down as well. ;)
