I will be in Disneyland on a Tuesday in early June. We had no trouble getting a hotel room this close to our trip so I bet it won't be very crowded. Is it worth it trying to go to both parks in one day, though? We would definitely visit California Adventure first, but should we even try Disneyland park? Will it be too crowded? We would like to be back at our hotel by 4:30 or so to freshen up for dinner (we're staying on sight.)

I'd hit DL first thing in the morning (take advantage of Early Entry if you have it). ride as much as you can early in the day, before it gets too crowded. Then, head over to DCA in the afternoon, until dinner-time. After dinner, head back over to DL -- the afternoon crowds should be starting to disperse. Have fun!!

Yes, you can do both parks in one day. Tuesday is a Magic Morning day which means the park opens 1 hour earlier for guests with an early entry or on property guests. Get to DL as soon as it opens for early entry; you can ride all the Fantasy land rides and some tomorrow land rides at that time. Then, once the rest of the park opens, ride all the big rides you want to till it starts getting a little more crowded or around noon. Utilize Fast Pass (there's a whole thread on it by Darkbeer, just do a search.) Then hop over to DCA and spend about 4 hours there. After dinner, you can head back into DL (or DCA till it closes and then DL) and catch anything you missed. Looking at the calendar, DL is open till 11:00 pm the first Tuesday, then till midnight every Tuesday after that. DCA will be open till 8 pm first Tuesday, then 9 pm after.

Expect it to be busy during June...Id be at DL right when it opens at 8 or if you can get in early at 7 do that...Id stay there until noon or so, get lunch then head over to DCA then get back to the hotel

This recent thread (http://mousepad.mouseplanet.com/showthread.php?t=99251) also addresses both parks in one day.

It really depends on what you want to do in DCA. There are really only 4 big ticket attractions: Tower of Terror, Soarin', California Screamin, and if you don't mind getting wet, Grizzly River Run. Other rides. Unless you have smaller kids with you, there isn't anything, I consider a must see (although some may say the Aladdin stage show). Of course, there will also be Toy Story Midway Mania to consider.

Here's my list of must do's: Aladdin, Soarin, Sunwheel, Grizzly River Run if it's warm out, all movies if anyone in our party hasn't seen them before. Animation Bldg. Pic in front of the mickey ears of Screamin. I'm not a scary-type ride lover, though, so I don't do ToT or Screamin.

What we usually do...

We go to DL in the morning, right when it opens, do some rides and grab fastpasses for whatever we want until about 9:50, when we start heading over to DCA. We usually get what we want to do done around lunchtime, so we eat lunch at DCA and go back to DL for the rest of the day after that. It usually works out pretty well.

My family and I tend to go to both parks during the day. We usually start out at DL and stay until the crowds start getting bad or we can't get any fast passes for awhile. We have always found that DCA just doesn't get as busy as DL. You can easily walk around and see most things with out to long of a wait. There are many things to see there but only a few big rides that actually have a long line. I know they will be opening the new ride so maybe it will be busier this June. We enjoy going back and forth between the two.

I have to disagree with Aladdin. With only one day at the parksr 1.5 hours (wait before plus show) on one attraction is too much.

We was able to walk up about 5 minutes before Aladin started a week ago and got decent seats on the side. If you dont expect middle seats you can get there a few minutes before start. Just be sure to get in before starting time because they dont seat late.

We usually head to DL first thing in the morning, grab fastpasses, ride something that will be too busy later in the day and then head strait to DCA; grab fast passes for Soarin' or ToT, and Grizzly River Run (since it's on it's own FP system), ride what we want before going to see Aladdin, use our FP's, and then head back to DL late in the afternoon. If the standby line isn't bad, we'll grab fastpasses, and then wait in the standby line. This gives us a chance to ride more than once and is especially good for soarin' (my best friends favorite). Sounds like a lot of walking, I know, but it isn't bad at all, and I've never felt rushed. Of course this probably won't work in July, but the begining of June shouldn't be too bad if you go with the understanding that you may have to wait in line to see/experience the attraction/s you want, especially as the day wares on.:geek:
