We are going to southern california at the end of July. We are buying the Southern California city pass from costco for around $217. It has 3 days of Disney along with 3 other SoCal tourist destinations. We want to go to Disney for 5 days. Does anybody know the value of the 3 Disney tickets from costco so i would know how much disney will charge to upgrade from 3 to 5 day pass. thanks for your help

Have you considered converting the passes to Annual passes. It might be cheaper, especially if you end up coming back within 365 days. There are quite a few tricks for getting the best bang for your buck.

We live in Cincinnati so annual pass is not an option. When you upgrade those passes do you do it at ticket booth out front?

Please understand that this is intended in the kindest and most sincere way, why is it you say annual passes are not an option? I don't know your circumstances but depending on your travel plans if you have any plans to come back in a year, you can schedule the 09 trip for just before the passes expire and get two trips for the price of one so to speak. Many people who live considerable distance from the park have passes and find that the price works in their favor if they do just one trip a year but careful planning brings them back on the same pass in the following year.

it just is not in my budget to be able to make back to back Cali trips.

And that is a totally understandable reason, so with that in mind, trying to upgrade might work. I don't know if you can upgrade the city pass tickets, I know if you go thru WDTC you can. I'd call Disney and check before I invested in the city pass package.

If you upgrade at the gate (I doubt you could upgrade at WDTC) you will pay the difference between the value of the DL portion of the pass and the gate cost of the 5 day ticket ($234.) It would be $25 more for an Deluxe pass.

On the upgrade, your best case scenario, they allow you $169 on the 3 day, it will be $65 more for the 2 days.
