I was just wondering if anyone has had experience with American Express Gift Cards at DLR?

I just recieved three of them, and I wanted to save them for my upcoming trip to DL.

I've never had them before, and in reading the paperwork with them, it says that I may not be able to use them together, that it would be at the discretion of the vendor.

I don't understand that. They're just like cash, I'm told, and are accepted anywhere American Express is accepted. Why would it matter if I used them all at once?

Has anyone used any at DLR? Will they take them together?

I called and asked American Express if all three gift cards could be combined into one, but they told me no.

Anyone have any info on this they could share?

I'm not sure about DL but my terminals at work only allow one credit card per transaction. We can put some money on a credit card and the rest of the money in cash, but there is no way to swipe all three cards on a single transaction. Our system just does not have the capability.
If we do get someone with your situation and they are buying more than one item we just do separate transactions for each card. If you are purchasing one item at a large dollar amount unfortunately we can only take one card.

But this is just for my stores. I'm really not sure about DL.

Actually, this is a great idea. Use the gift cards at City Hall and purchase Disney Dollars. If needed, you could make three separate trips to City Hall to get it all taken care of. Then you just use the Disney Dollars for your purchase.

I wanted to spend them on a bigger ticket item for myself. You know, the one you want but can't justify the expense. ;)
