Greetings from Australia,

My partner and I will be visiting Disneyland/DCA on the Sunday the 25th, Monday the 26th and Tuesday the 27th of May. We have a three day park hopper bonus ticket which I believe gives us early entry on one day. I realise that it is the Memorial day weekend so it will be busy.

I was after suggestions as to what days you think we should visit which parks, and which day I should choose for early entry.

We were planning to do DCA on the Sunday and head to Disneyland at night, then Disneyland for the Monday and Tuesday. Does this sound like the best approach?

I've gotten heaps of info from this site, so thankyou to you all. I've also got the unofficial guide to disneyland and ridemax, so hopefully between the two will have a good heads up in terms of what order we should do things to best minimise our wait in lines.

Grateful for any advice.

Regards,
Aaron...

Go to DL first thing in the morning. Even if you aren't morning people, force yourself to get up and be at the park before it opens, or before EE the day you are using that. Then enjoy DL in morning while it isn't crowded. Start with the rides in FL and then move on the other rides. Collect fastpasses all morning. Every time you can get a new one, do it. Don't use any of them in the morning. It isn't crowded yet, so don't waste it.

DL will start getting a lot more people by 11 and will be crowded by 1 or so. It will be really crowded by 3. Sometime in the early afternoon, ditch the crowd at DL and head over to DCA. Stay there through the afternoon until after dinner, then head back to DL at 7 or 8. It will still be crowded, but the peak will have passed or be about to pass. After the fireworks and the first Fantasmic shows a lot of people will leave and DL will become much less crowded. This time until closing is a wonderful time. Use the fastpasses you collected in the morning when it gets crowded in the late afternoon before you head over to DCA and in the early evening when you first get back to DL.

Stay until closing and then do the same thing again the next day and the next. If you get too tired staying until closing and getting up so early to be there at opening then use the afternoon to take a nap.

Oh and the other thing, don't get into a "I have to do everything" rush. Relax, have fun, go with the flow. You're on holiday to relax and have fun, so make sure you relax and have fun.

I agree...park hopping is the way to go! Don't forget that the Fastpass system at DL is not linked to the one at DCA, so collect at both parks.
