OK, so I am going to need some help on this one. I have wanted to attend this event for many years, and this will be my very first. What and or when should I start planning for fall of 08?

Which hotel to stay at?
What day should I arrive?
How many days will I be there?
What group to enter?
Is it real hard?
Is it real fun?
Thanks!!

I know the park a little and I want to have some other fun.
Sorry if this is a repost.

Please note that nothing is final yet. However, based on past events:

The Howard Johnson Anaheim Plaza is very popular among MouseAdventure teams and staff, and usually offers a discounted rate for the event.

The event is held on a Sunday, so you'll want to arrive no later than Saturday. Many teams take an extra day or two before the event to re-familiarize themselves with aspects of the parks they may not always pay attention to in normal family touring.

Realistically, don't plan on doing anything else on event day. The awards gathering typically ends around 6:00 pm, but you'll be so wiped out that you will want to crawl back to your room with perhaps a brief stop for dinner. If you want to do normal park stuff, plan for a day before or after the event.

I'll let players answer the others. Hope to see you this fall!

What group to enter?
Most people will tell you to enter the Basic or 101 category. It really depends on if you are very competitive or are looking to just have a good time and see what it's about.

Is it real hard?
Yes! It's a LONG day.

Is it real fun?

YES!!! You'll never look at Disneyland the same way again.

Personally, if you know the park a little and want to have some fun - I'd enter whatever ends up being our "lowest" division. It's not just an issue of how well you know the park but also how tricky we make the games. A first time player is trying to find things around the resort but also trying to figure out to solve these puzzles the way we tend to write them, too.
