My kids, 11 & 12 yrs old, like DCA better than DL. We have AP's and each time we go, they beg to spend more time at DCA. When I asked friends who have kids and AP's they say the same thing. I feel like I am always "making" them come to DL with me. This is the first year we have had AP's and they have never spent any time at either park before this year. Anyone else find the same thing? I am not sure what it is about, except they love roller coasters and DCA has a few of those.

My kids love DCA also (my daughter 14 loves Golden Dreams!)

They love the coaster, Mulholland madness all of it.....they like DL too but they definitely enjoy it much than I do!

My kids also really like DCA. My daughter because she loves roller coasters and thrill rides like Maliboomer. My 4 year old son is absolutely smitten with Grizzly. If the monorail took us to DCA, I'd never get them into Disneyland.

Once we are there, of course, there's always plenty of things to do and they are not sad or anything.

But given the choice, DCA or Disneyland kids? It's DCA everytime.

My husband also falls into that category (of being a kid wanting to go to DCA :rolleyes: )

My son loves DCA, especially California Screamin'. My daughter isn't so smitten yet. My husband got a very bad impression the first time, nd sees it as another land to visit if there is time... but that may change when we stay at the GC in 6 weeks.

I love it for the lower crowds in midday if the weather is cool and it isn't raining... but I love Disneyland even in high season, midday, in any kind of weather.

My stepson is the same way...he is 8 yrs old and loves DCA! However my girls, 4 and 2 1/2 prefer DL!

My guess would be that younger children (mine are 8 and 5) like DL more (in general) and that as they hit that 10-15 range (and are coaster fans) some might prefer DCA. Kids are just like anyone else, they have preferences, if DCA meets their preferences, they are gonna like it more.

My kids like DL way more, but the 8 year old likes certain things at DCA a whole lot.
