We're looking at going to disney in October during the food and wine festival but i was hoping to look at the schedule of chefs etc (were big food network goobers) before we picked dates. . . is there any news on the 2008 F&W festival or rumors that may be out there?

They usually don't have solid info out until July or August. I usually decide when to go, and then I can just focus my attention on who will be there when I am, and use that to trim down the otherwise overwhelming options.

The only thing I know is music related, not food related - Spyro Gyra, one of my favorite jazz groups, will be playing the festival from Oct. 19 - 21. And I gotta do a big ol' AAARRRRGGGGHHH here! I just looked those dates up, and I realize I made a big boo boo. I just booked my next trip for Oct. 11 - 17, mistakenly thinking Spyro Gyra was there on the 13th. I don't know if the date changed or if I just got it wrong. Now I have to change hotel, food, all that junk. Dang!!! Oh well, at least I haven't booked flights yet!

I cannot wait. We are going down Oct. 31. I just want to know what food will be at the booths! I plan on hitting up each and every booth for some great food!

At least you can still catch them. I was excited to hear that Big Bad Voodoo Daddy was going to be there, and figured that I'd set up my fall research trip to coincide with their performance. Then I found out that they're playing the opening weekend, September 26-27. Since my nephew's bar mitzvah is the weekend of October 3-5, we need to have my son's birthday party the week earlier, which is -- you guessed it -- the weekend of September 26-28. Sucks for me. I guess I'll have to pick another weekend.

I just finished changing things over to the following week. I got to keep most of my first dining choices, with a couple of minor adjustments. More and more I'm really hating this 180 days out thing for ADR's. But that's the reality.
